Toolbar of Program Editor


 

The menu of the program editor can be activated either with the mouse or by pressing the F10 or the Alt key. The character serving a quick calling up of the option from the keyboard after activating the menu is indicated by underscoring it in the menu options. Following the menu option the shortcut key is given, enabling  quick calling the function from the keyboard without having to activate the menu.

 

 

File:

Start         Starts (or, if need be, saves) a program. Shortcut key F5 .

Close         Closes the editing program and opens another one. Shortcut keys Ctrl+O .

Save         Saves the changes performed in the program. Shortcut keys Ctrl+S .

Save as Nonexecutable         Saves the program as nonexecutable (till the next saving). The program will get about 250 KB smaller. Shortcut keys Ctrl+Alt+S .

Save As         Saves the program into the file with a different name or to the different disk. Shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+S .

Distribution         Saves the program as non-editable, without source information (only with the Professional version)

Font Setup         Displays the submenu for setting up the font in the Peter application.

 Font of Program Select         Sets font in the window of program select (program list).

 Font of Program Editor         Sets font in the window of program editor .

 Font of Text Editor         Sets font in the window of text editor .

 Font of Menu         Sets font of menu.

 Font of Status Bar         Sets font of status bar.

Language         Sets up the language of the Peter application.

 Automatic         Selects language automatically according to the system Windows setting (" local setting ")

 Czech         Switches the Peter application to the Czech language.

 German         Switches the Peter application to the German language.

 English         Switches the Peter application to the English language.

 Spanish         Switches the Peter application to the Spanish language.

 Russian         Switches the Peter application to the Russian language.

 Slovak         Switches the Peter application to the Slovak language.

 Previous         Switches the Peter application between the two last used languages. Shortcut keys Ctrl+F9 .

Short Names         Uses names shorted to contain 8 characters when creating and renaming programs and library files (the new name is stored as alias ).

Exit         Quits the Peter application. Shortcut keys Alt+F4 .

 

Edit:

Undo         Returns into the condition before making the change. Shortcut keys Ctrl+Z .

Redo         Takes back returning into the condition before making the change. Shortcut keys Ctrl+Y .

Cut         Cuts the selection and moves it to the clipboard. Shortcut keys Ctrl+X .

Copy         Copies the selection to the clipboard. Shortcut keys Ctrl+C .

Paste         Inserts the clipboard contents at the actual position. Shortcut keys Ctrl+V .

Delete         Deletes the selection. Shortcut key Delete .

Select All         Marks all as selected. Shortcut keys Ctrl+A .

Dithering         Uses dithering with the importing and decreasing of pictures.

 

View:

Zoom In         Increases the scale of display. Shortcut keys Ctrl+[+] .

Zoom Out         Decreases the scale of display. Shortcut keys Ctrl+[-] .

Previous Edit         Returns to the previously edited element. Shortcut keys Ctrl+Up .

Next Edit         Returns to the next edited element. Shortcut keys Ctrl+Down .

Find Text         Finds the entered text. Shortcut keys Ctrl+F .

Previous Text         Finds a previous occurrence of the text. Shortcut keys Shift+F3 .

Next Text         Finds a next occurrence of the text. Shortcut key F3 .

 

Program: (only when editing a tree-structured program format)

Lock         Locks the element against modification.

Turn Off         Turnes off the function of element.

Description         Edits description of the element (for current language). Shortcut keys Alt+Enter .

Default Description         Uses default description of the element.

Icon         Edits icon of the element.

Default Icon         Uses default icon of the element.

Declaration         Finds declaration of the element.

Previous Use         Finds previous use of the element.

Next Use         Finds next use of the element.

 

Sheet: (only when editing a sheet)

Dimensions         Sets general dimensions of the sheet.

Editing         Turns on/off the editing mode of the sheet items (otherwise moving).

Filling         Turns on/off the mode of filling the sheet with the item.

Raster         Turns on/off the orientation raster display.

Items         Edits items on the sheet.

Flag 1         Edits the flag 1.

Flag 2         Edits the flag 2.

Flag 3         Edits the flag 3.

Flag 4         Edits the flag 4.

Flag 5         Edits the flag 5.

Numeric Value 1         Edits the numeric value 1 (range 0 to 1023).

Numeric Value 2         Edits the numeric value 2 (range 0 to 1023).

Numeric Value 3         Edits the numeric value 3 (range 0 to 127).

 

Picture: (only when editing a picture or an item)

Dimensions         Sets picture general dimensions (only when editing a picture).

Raster         Turns on/off the orientation raster display.

Edit         Edits the picture or its part (resize, rotation, color exchange).

Block Stamp         Stamps the block to the picture.

Horizontal         Flips the picture or its part horizontally.

Vertical         Flips the picture or its part vertically.

Left         Rotate the picture or its part to the left (by 90 degrees counter-clockwise).

Right         Rotate the picture or its part to the right (by 90 degrees clockwise).

Double         Increases size of the picture or its part twice (refining of edges is turned off).

Half         Decreases size of the picture or its part by a half (refining of edges and dithering are turned off).

Resize         Resizes the picture or its part optionally .

Exchange         Exchanges the left and right mouse button colors in the picture or in its part.

Substitution         Substitutes the right mouse button color by the left mouse button color in the picture or in its part.

 

Tools: (only when editing a picture or an item)

Pen         Draws with the pen.

Line         Draws a line.

Box         Draws a box.

Filled Box         Draws a filled box.

Circle         Draws a circle.

Filled Circle         Draws a filled circle.

Ellipse         Draws an ellipse.

Filled Ellipse         Draws a filled ellipse.

Sphere         Draws a sphere.

Selection         Marks the determined part as selected (left mouse button = move, right mouse button = copy).

Spray         Draws with the spray (profuseness is determined by selected line thickness).

Pipette         Sets the color beneath the cursor as selected.

Filler         Fills the surface by a color.

Text         Writes the text.

 

Thickness: (only when editing a picture or an item)

Thickness 1 Pixel         Draws the lines with a thickness of 1 pixel.

Thickness 2 Pixels         Draws the lines with a thickness of 2 pixels.

Thickness 5 Pixels         Draws the lines with a thickness of 5 pixels.

Thickness 9 Pixels         Draws the lines with a thickness of 9 pixels.

Thickness 21 Pixels         Draws the lines with a thickness of 21 pixels.

 

Sprite: (only when editing a sprite)

Properties         Sets properties of the sprite (number of phases, directions, ...).

Test         Starts test mode of the sprite.

 

Sound: (only when editing a sound)

Play         Starts playing of the sound.

Pause         Pauses playing of the sound.

Stop         Stops playing of the sound.

Loop         Turns on/off the repetition of playing.

Record         Starts recording of the sound.

 

Music: (only when editing a music)

Play         Starts playing of the music.

Pause         Pauses playing of the music.

Stop         Stops playing of the music.

Loop         Turns on/off the repetition of playing.

Rewind         Moves playing by 10 seconds back.

Forward         Moves playing by 10 seconds forward.

Help         Displays help for the selected element. Shortcut key F1 .

Search in Help         Searches for a topic or a word in the help.

Help Contents         Displays help contents for the Peter application.

About Peter Application         Displays information about the Peter application, version number and copyright.

 

 

Notes:

  - When selecting a font, 0 height denotes the normal font height, 0 width denotes the normal font width.

  - When changing the language, the description language of the program elements is changed, too. The program can include texts for several languages. After starting a program in a particular language texts for this language will appear. If the element text is empty, the default text or some other language text will be used.
