A sound is used to play back sound effects or spoken word. For sounds being in the PCM format several sounds can be played at a time. With the support by the MPEG Layer-3 playback driver, MP3 files, too, can be played. See also sound editing .

 

A sound may be stored in the library in the WAV format (file extension WAV) or in the MPEG Layer3 format (file extension MP3).
